Course, the Kings don't appeal to the demographic that causes all the ruckus at Dodger games.

Haven't been to a game since relocating, probably never will. Do like my Rams tickets, though. They're tucked away nicely in the area where cost is a barrier of entry that prevents most unsavory types from finding their way in.

The cheapest Dodgers - the World Series contenders - tickets are like 6 or 7 bucks which is still cheaper, and I don't think Kings tickets were that affordable when they weren't awful and tanking.

First series of the season and already another person beaten nearly to death in the parking lot.
what in the world is going on in the world? We used to go the Dodger stadium, never even locked our car I don't think. And now all this. Too many people with no self control.

Pretty will said: they are the generation of entitlement, me first, not old time family traditions, etc. I think it goes without saying the family unit isn't what it used to be. It isn't just where Dodger stadium is located, it goes much deeper than that.

Safety at Dodgers stadium is a matter of concern, but I think it is far fetched to say that it is unsafe.

Taking it into context, there are just under 4 million fans that go to Dodger games per year, so statistically speaking, its still generally safe to attend games. Overall, if you're going to be a drunk a**hole, you get rowdy with other fans, and/or generally have a difficult time backing off potentially threatening situations, yes you may be subject to some element of danger. The Dodgers, like any team, attract a fair amount of trashy people who have no problem taking their excess, unused, testosterone out on other people.

My wife and I go to about 15 games a year and never had any issues, never feared for our safety. At the end of the evening we stick to ourselves, we don't engage much with others, and stay away from the trash. Yet we do try to stick with the general crowd especially at night since the stadium's parking, which takes in about 16,000 vehicles per game, is badly lit.

With all that said, I wish someone would just develop a great portion of the parking around the stadium with commercial/residential and thereby increase the lighting and security around the stadium and displacing some 8,000 vehicles to surrounding neighborhoods/forcing more people to take public transport. Also, not sure what kind of measures the stadium takes in banning hooligans but I certainly hope that any displays of violence are met with lifetime bans from the ballpark. -Go Blue
