Hi,

My 24 year old brother just got a job in Northridge. Does anyone have any suggestions for cities to live where the commute isn't that bad (half and hour or less) but is still a fun place for young adults to live?

Did he get a job in Northridge or in Woodland Hills? Your post is confusing.

Encino would be great. Just south of Northridge and east of Woodland Hills for which ever community your job is in. Great variety of restaurants, clubs, bars, bookstores, cafe's, and shopping. Everything you need is a short drive or walk away. If not Encino, Tarzana or Sherman Oaks are also great.

I know I have some-zheimers (working on Alzheimers) but I'm sure I've read almost identical inquiries in the past month or two. I think it boiled down to either living basically between Studio City and Encino, OR, living near your job and venturing out to those places above or west LA , Santa Monica, Pasadena, on weekends. Both WH and Northridge are probably a little too boring for a single person.

Im holding off on responding until the OP comes back and lets us know if the job is in Woodland Hills or if the job is in Northridge.
