I've already lived in LA for a year now and know the hoods.

I'm going to work on a TV show in Kansas for a couple months and my lease on my current apartment in LA is up. Can you think of anyways I could secure an apartment for when I get back? I'd rather not have to pay for a week in a hotel back here in LA while I search for a new place.

thanks!!!

Try craigslist: los angeles classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events. Maybe if you are will get an apartment you can sublet it while you are out of town.

It is simple. When you get ready to leave Kansas, the weekend before you make the big move, fly into LA and lease a new apartment with the move in date set for when you will be back here.

I'm sorry, I can't think of a way unless you rent via the internet just before you come back. Unfortunately, you apparently don't have the time to do what you want.

The Oakwood apartments are located all over LA and they rent month to month if you like.
You can reserve one (furnished down to the silverware, if you want) and move out in 30 days to your new apt.
