I'm not into clubbing or bars all the time.

What are my other options besides staying in?

ROFL sit in traffic... sorry to hear that.

I guess night life is the same everywhere you live...especially for the working folk.

It's pretty much the same as anywhere else. You can go bowling, go out to the movies, go for a drive, etc... The view from the top of the mountains down into the basin or valley at night is really cool. The city lights are breathtaking.

EATING.

Theres so many different restaurants, and different type of foods, places with different kids of atmospheres.

Hit up yelp.com, and find out where the good places to eat are.

Yelp in general is pretty cool to find out what to do.

A lot of people hang out at the beach around Santa Monica\ Venice\ Redondo\ Hermosa. Night swimming is incredible but not recommended for everyone! 3rd Street Promenade\ Sunset Blvd\ Hollywood Blvd\ Old Town Pasadena\ Americana-Glendale\ City Walk are all great places to just walk around at night [lots a activity\ interesting people\ hot women].

Old Town Pasadena is hopping at night. People are shopping, eating, coffee-shop sitting, and generally having a good time.

There are little concerts in various little parks all the time. I don't know whether there is a central location to find out about that....
