Did you feel this one, in Inglewood I think? More and more of these happening lately. I for one did not feel it, but then I am in Oxnard. Maybe it is too far away for us.

Who remembers that!!!
That's a frightening thought But sometimes relatively small earthquakes take the stress off the faults. I am also mindful of Cal-Tech's caution that medium-size earthquakes could trigger activity on the San Andreas Fault. These quakes on the West side [Newport Beach\ Inglewood fault] are on a network of parallel mini faults. The San Andreas is a powerhouse fault ["Big Daddy"] a mile wide!

The Northridge earthquake was on a different fault line. There are many faults running under Los Angeles!

In El Segundo it seemed to last longer than the other one. I felt a heavy rolling, then a few very strong jolts, and then rolling for at least 10 or 15 seconds.

unfortunately, the news mentioned caltech stating that these quakes have done nothing to relieve the stress/energy building up. they've been too little

Can these in any way disturb the SAF and cause it to shift thus producing a massive quake? How big is the big one supposed to be again?

The SAF is usually affected only if there are quakes on faults near it.

If MS-13 doesn't kill us, the earthquakes will. Idaho is looking better by the day.

Didn't feel it at all in Glendale. Didn't feel the 4.7 one either.
