I don't know if I should post my question here or in the education forum. I am interested in an online MPA course. When I googled this the above named university came up. Is this a good school? I have never heard of it but it piqued my interest since I want to complete my master's degree online.

Any opinions? Is this a reputable school?
Thanks in advance.

Small, commuter school that has decent regard within the California system. Not great, not bad reputation. Somewhere in the middle.

I have a buddy that goes there, its out in Carson.
Pretty small but its still a CSU.
A good percentage of students are Latino/Black at this school, I think that has to do with its location.

My friend likes it a lot. Like JTGJR said, its a commuter school, so I wouldnt expect a real college atmosphere. But I gusss that won't matter to you since you plan on taking online courses.
Whats your major?

I would think that a mostly commuter school would be more flexible with your schedule (online classes, night classes).

"Dominguez Hills" is just the new name for south Compton. It should really be Cal State Compton. The school is not particularly bad, it's just a state school so respect is minimal. Not quite as bad as some of them (Cal State LA comes to mind), but nothing to write home about.

Since you're taking the course online, you don't have to worry about the location, because the location or God awful.

CSUDH is located in carson, not compton. the location is fine for a commuter school for working adults, but i wouldn't send my freshman there.

carson is very different from compton. of course it is a lot nicer around the home depot center and the campus, but compton it is not.

the school is small. most people bypass DH and go to LB state instead. but for a more intimate environ, you can go to DH.

when you say online classes, do you mean Phoenix and those type of places or are you looking for a legit, university? well not that phoenix isnt legit, but you get what i mean.
