is there a website that lists previously sold homes in Shelby County? I need to find a few comparative home sales for the appraisal that's being done on the house I'm selling in Shelbyville and my ex has only come up with terribly low comps that undervalue our house by about $125,000.

I'm not a realtor but have bought and sold many homes. I use a couple websites to find useful info. some realtors don't really show you. I use zillow to pull up specific addresses and see purchase price etc. I do NOT use zillow to find the value of a home --simply days on market, comparable sales, and most importantly the purchase price and year the home was purchased (not always available).
Below is the link to the site to find what has sold-- list price and sold price. I just change the address and change the criteria to sold or pending then it will pull up all info. I've only used it for prospect and jefferson county so not sure if it will work for shelby county. Good Luck!

Solid Earth is the contractor that provides the web based MLS system for the Louisville MLS. Shelby County still has a local MLS which will give much more information.
You can pay a Realtor, preferably one who is a member of both MLS's to do a Broker Price Opinion of your home. We do "windshield" BPO's all the time for $50-75.00. Their opinions do not hold the weight of an appraisal, but will give you an idea of how valid the appraisals are.
