I'm looking to buy some used furniture, but I'm a bit leary of the Craigslist scene. In particular I'm looking for dining furniture. Does anyone have any experience with used or consignment furniture stores in Louisville? Thanks!

The only consignment place I usually visit is Peddler's Mall. It's similar to a flea market in that vendors rent out booth space to sell their stuff. Here's a link to a store list.

As with any used/consignment place, it's a toss up whether or not you will find what you are looking for in the price/condition you want it. But the hunt is half the fun!
Also, if you are looking for bar stools, I actually have two 24" swivel stools/chairs that I am looking to get rid of. The bar in our new place needs a 30" stool so these are way too short to be of any use to me anymore. Send me message if you want more info.

I would be leary of buying used furniture anywhere since it is possible that it could have bedbugs (even tho it is suppose to be in mattresses). There are numeorus of places that sell furniture that isn't expensive, like Big Lots, or Value City.

Try this new consignment store I found today, it was called What I Found in the Attic over off Hurstbourne in the plainview shopping center in jeffersontown. They had a lot of cool stuff.
