It's not that easy to get a tour of the White House any more. You can't just line up and get a tour like you could in the old days. The only way I know of now, is requesting one from your state's Congressional delegation. You submit your request, along with ID info, believe it or not, background checks must be done in order for the pass to be given. The last I knew it was a couple weeks to a month's turnaround to obtain the pass, so time is wasting.

As for how this happened, I guess I can thank my web site and my ability to do search engine optimization. I got an email query and followed that up with a phone call. The folks in PA asked where I was located and when I told them, their response, "Oh, my!" kinda made me think that it was a pretty moot point. But I made my best pitch, sent them a digital pic of the sign that met their needs, which I happened to have one of in stock, and let them know I could quickly paint "Pennsylvania" on it as per their need. Figured that was the end of the story, but the next day (Friday) when I got home from the store I had an email saying they wanted to proceed and could I have it to them by Monday. I added the name of the state that night, packaged it the next morning and sent K to the PO to ship it off Express.
Pretty darn exciting, indeed!
And well-deserved to boot! Congratulations!
