Great Googly Moogly! I'd melt just like that candle did in that heat! Someone once told me "But it's a DRY heat",... yeah, sure,.... my oven is a dry heat too!

I'll send you some good vibes, how's that? Just send some back my way, so that we can move to Maine soon too!

I just had to LH (laugh hard) at your last comment. That really was good.

Did anyone see the temp for my previous home of Charlotte, NC yesterday? 104*. Talk about being in a freekin oven. Except that was not even dry heat. It was maxed out in the mid 90% humidity range. And that really does complicate the problem. Sure glad I got out of there. Geezum wonkers!

I thought it was hot at 90, round about 80 degrees I wilt, I can't imagine 120. (don't want to TRY to imagine it) I just keep thinking,... 3 more weeks, 3 more weeks! lol Even though the move will be hard, (we aren't kids ya know) I can't wait. The boxes are piling up and we have friends ready to meet us and help once we get there. As for the heating prices, not much diiferant here, and the house we're going into is well insulated and has a new (3years old) heating system. Once I get home, I'm never leaving .

We live in the Raleigh area (for now) and yesterday it was 104 here too. I checked the temp gauge outside last night at 11pm and it was still 85. Yuck! This weekend it's supposed to "cool off" to 92. Guess we'll have to get the sweaters out! Can't wait for Maine !

Hey Maine Writer,

It is so oppressively humid here in the midwest today and looking at your dew point, you still have it pretty good.

I'm a full-time freelance writer in Minneapolis. We are considering moving to Maine where I grew up and graduated from Orono. Can you tell me how the freelance market is there?

Thank you kindly,
Lucie

Try 140 in full combat gear in Iraq. Then our 90s don't seem so bad at all.
