Headed in that general direction this weekend.

- Calis, Lubec, Eastport, and who knows where else

That's one of my best road trips ... head off in a general direction, and see what you see along the way. Hope you have a great time.

I took this one evening a little over a week ago, intending to take some pictures of the sunset. But when I got down to the lake and started to take some pictures, some company showed up, and I quickly changed where my camera was pointed.

Okay. Actually, they took me by surprise. I took my camera down from my face to change some of the settings - I wanted to play with the settings a bit as the colors and intensity of the sunset was changing. The duck and ducklings (I count 14) appeared out of nowhere, and I was lucky both me and my camera didn't end up in the drink!

So this is just the latest on a very long list of reasons I really like living here in Maine.

I had the biggest smile on my face as I was taking the picture, and I was really hoping it would turn out well. And yes, the renewal of life ... doesn't seem to matter what kind of winter we've had - spring is always welcome.
