After years of hunting on my own, I've decided to try a Guided Hunt for my 50th birthday. Normally I hunt in the Harmony area. I have my licenses but not the doe permit. Any suggestions. I'd prefer not to travel too far, the solo 4 1/2 drive to Harmony is already a killer.

I've found and made a deposit with Stoney Brook Outfitters in Wilton Me. A little shorter ride and seems like a good Guide. I'll let everyone know afterwards.

Well although I had no luck with my hunt, it was a pleasurable experience. I cut it a day short though. I have a tough time sleeping away from home. Combining that and the physical exertion and I was done. The Lodge has access to Huge tracts of paper land. The lodging was adequate and the food was great. The Guides were pleasant and seemed knowledgeable.
