LOL! I just like to bake. It becomes a bit of a dilemma as to what to do with it as we can't possibly eat it all. Thank goodness for a neighbor that doesn't mind coming and taking it away.

My my, good to have a neighbor like yours. Sounds like a tough job but somebody's gotta do it...

Ok Msina, if I can't move in with you, then may I move in next door to you? I like cake... I'll buy you those trekking poles you've been eyeing.

Aw, thanks Msina! I've been focusing on coastal areas, but I may just have to look into your neck of the woods, too. You say such lovely things about your town.

I'm a fairly easy to please person. I have simple needs and few wants. I also seem to attract people (don't know why). If I go into a store it seems inevitable I'll end up in a conversation with someone. This is a very friendly town though, no doubt about it.

Because you are an absolute sweetheart Msina. The closest I have come to baking recently: my honey and I made blueberry pancakes a few days ago. Ah - a little taste of Maine in the morning. They were so good...

I ADORE blueberry pancakes and muffins Well... to be honest.... I love food! lol,.. I love the preparation as much as the tasting. Colors, flavors and textures. There's nothing like the feeling I get just after canning off a few bushels of tow-maters, or taking a pie from the oven. Satisfaction in a job well done.

my DP brought home two very large bags of frozen peaches and frozen sliced apples from the tennis club. There is a Japanese lady over there who has fruit trees in her back yard and she froze them this past summer. Lot of work in peeling and slicing all that fruit.

Now I need suggestions for the peaches; I defrosted them. So I looked up peach cobbler. I tasted them and they are delicious as they are....bowl of fruit for desert.
But do you have anyother suggestions?

I am not good with pie crusts but might try with Pillsbury's ready made; how I wish msina were my neighbor, she would whip up something with this bonanza.
