14?

Yeah, I guess so. But I can see that in five to eight years she will be a knock-out.

Here I was a few years ago. I should look about the same, my beard is a bit longer though.

Last year at the Fair, a gentleman did recognize my face, he and I were both regular posters on 'Homesteading Today' forums.

I will be fairly busy this time, we just went over our schedules and from 10am until 4pm each day we have picked workshops that we each wish to attend. I may end up playing hooky a bit, just to see the Fair. But with so many really interesting workshops going on, and here at our place we really need to polish up on a few things, if we are going to make our farm viable. My A.S. is in Horticulture, but that was back in 1985. and it seems like a long time ago.

Anyway, I really would like to meet you folks. I will be there.

May God bless you

The wife and crew left today, I'll be leaving in the morning. The food court has been completely changed and moved, tell her to look for the big purple sign that says Veggie/Cheese Wraps.

I'm coming from Vermont so am shooting for noon. First time ever I won't be there on Thurs for setup. My 18yo son will be there, too bad our 15yo has a soccer game tomorrow so she will not be getting there till Sat, morn.

Hope to see Forest there as well. My 22yo will also be there...she is a dead ringer and mistaken often for Liv Tyler, who grew up in Portland BTW, so don't get any ideas Forest....

Whew what a busy day!

A big crowd too, lots of children wow. A few groups of Chinese speaking oriental teens too [they were not really getting into the fair either, some of the girls were wearing high-heels].

They did move things around a bit. hmm.

I entered some soap that my DW made into the competition.

I attended a workshop on USDA requirements, then one on Fruit tree orchard basics, then fruit tree orchard advanced topics, then farming raspberries and blueberries, then one on building the natural defenses of trees, and finally one on legislation of farm crops.

We got up this morning, looked at the list of things to do for winter, thought of the three hour drive to get there and decided to pass this year. =(

I am having a lot of fun at the fair and learning a lot.

Today I did one workshop on "Edible Landscaping", then "Drip Irrigation", "Low Hoop houses", "Medicinal Fungi", "Homeopathy for animals", and finally "how to build your own cider press".

Wow, my own homemade cider..that would be awesome. It's one of my favorite things about fall. Once I get up, you could hold a class and teach us all!!
