HOW much SNOW did you get at your house, from today's storm?
(I think that we're going to have to make this one a permanent/seasonal thread)!
Here in Western/upper Central Maine, in my little town of Peru, we received 7" of 'Ivory Snow-Flakes' type of dry. fluffy snow.
Relatively easy to shovel, heck, I may 'Blow' it away, with my leaf-blower!
Batten down the hatches, people, the temperature 'anchor' has been thrown out, and they will be going down!
Single digits overnights, after tonight for the next foreseeable week, bottoming out Thursday night at -16.
Well, now at least we all know "what we're going to do, when it gets cold".
Bundle up. start breakin' up the old furniture, for firewood!

Brrrr, -16 is chilly! The car needs to be well maintained to start up early on a morning like that. Here in the northeast corner of MA, we got about 4 inches of snow today and have about 12 inches on the ground total. Thursday night is forecast to go down to -4. That will be one of the coldest nights of the year here at the seacoast. Looks like another snowstorm is forecast for Friday-Saturday at this point.
Here In Princeton- our first Christmas Day storm- we got 12 inches...
While years past we have had snow prior to December, this is the First Christmas day storm for us here in Maine.
We are Thrilled !
A loop I created that shows the radar and surface pressure from 3pm Dec 23rd to 9pm Dec 25th. Watch it get closer and snow overspread the state yesterday. I'm missing a few hours due to it being Christmas. lol
This was also our first White Christmas since relocating to the Great State of Maine.
I'd guesstimate only about 5" here in the MidCoast area, but a most wonderful sight to behold. Nice and easy to clear with the snow blower since it was so powdery.
