Default What is the community atmosphere...Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots?

Also, being so close to Boston, what is the community atmosphere? Are the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots popular? Do people get together and watch games, etc...

Of course!! other than the occasional mis-led Giants fan or NYY fan.........this is red sox nation, Patroits nation, and again, celtics nation.

Being that Maine is big hockey......I am sure there are a lot of bruins fans too. We also have some local teams like the "sea dogs" and Pirates. Umaine for college football....you see

Red Sox Nation is huge out here in NorCal. Not so much for the hated Patriots though. But there are many Celtic fans out here now because they beat LA. All my family back there are Sox fans and now Celtic's again. Within football, there are many family factions from the Pats and Redskins to the Niners.

Yes. Many east coasters out here. I remember going to A's/Red Sox games at the collesium out here in the 70's and 80's. It was the same then.

There's also many transplanted New Englanders in SoCal. I remember the Red Sox having a ton of fans in the late 1990's and 2000 when I saw them play at Angel Stadium, and to this day, they still maintain that large following, naturally, because they've won a few championships, there following has grown, but for the most part the Red Sox fans in Anaheim are true, loyal, transplant Red Sox fans.

Yes...to all...they are all popular here. In MA it seems to be all about the Sox...I see way more Pats stickers here.

Is it August yet?

Lifelong Bruins fan here, when I was a kid, before there was cable all you could get in Eastport was Canadian TV, No NBC, CBS, or ABC. Hockey was all I knew.
