So has anyone read it? I just started it, about 50 pages in, and it's so biting and sharp. It's almost like a letter from another planet--this viewpoint hasn't been heard in a long time.

Hmmmm- quite an eccentric couple, if I may say so!


I remember reading "Beans" and the other book featuring the Letournea character. Too much of a focus on the negative for me, at least at that time.

I felt the same way about the negativity in the beginning of the book (sad situations) but I'm pressing on, nonetheless.

Chute is a very gifted writer.

Never could take her writing. Then I saw and read about them and liked it even less. Tried reading The Beans once. Couldn't force myself to do it. The only other book I had that much trouble with was Davinci Code.
