I'll be starting a job at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab in October and we'd like to rent for six months or a year before we look for a home to buy. What are good places to look for rental listings in the Columbia area? I've found a few places on craigslist, but am not aware of other places to look.

We have two young children, ages 3 and 1. While a house would be nice, a townhouse is fine too. We'd like to stay under $2000/mo.

We'll be moving from Pasadena, CA. We like Pasadena a lot, so hopefully we can find something in or near Columbia with a similar "feel" - urban, but not super dense.

Thanks!

Rental Houses Home Rentals, Homes for Rent, Houses for Rent, Rental Homes
This is on a street in Hickory Ridge that is nothing but rentals. They're nice, and right down the street from a decent high school and elementary school (bussed to middle school) in a quiet tree-filled neighborhood.
I don't remember the name of the company though.

go to craigslist.org and see what they have and also classifido.net has rental listings for the Columbia area.

Thanks for the advice! The rentalhouses.com in particular is a useful site.
