Hi,
Need help! A couple of friends and I are planning on going to Annapolis for the day from DE. We don't want malls, but neat, little shops are great. Any places like that there? Where are they? Are there restaurants nearby? None of us has been there-- would appreciate any help!'
Thanks!
Marabeth

Waterfront Annapolis is what you want. There are parking garages close by.

Eat at Buddy's Crabs and Ribs. Take a boat tour. Visit the State House... Annapolis is a great town. I'm sure you'll have a good time.

Wow, there's a ton of things to see and do in Annapolis. Boats tours, walking tours of the historic district, you can see the Naval Academy. Tons of great food. You can't do it all in one day.

If you only have one day to spend in Annapolis I think the Naval Academy should be at the top of the list. I don't think there is any cost unless you want a guided tour. And as previously suggested, make sure you visit the Chapel. It is really beautiful inside and out.

I think there are helicopter tours which sounds like fun (and expensive). I have not tried that but I can come close with some aerial footage I took of Annapolis last November. It includes the Naval Academy also. Annapolis = Aerial Views Annapolis Maryland and United States Naval Academy - YouTube

The remains of John Paul Jones (sometimes referred to as the "Father of the United States Navy") are interred in bronze and marble sarcophagus at the Naval Academy Chapel.
