I currently am working in Woodbridge Va and thinking of moving to Silver Spring Md. How bad would the commute be to and from work, and what is the best way to take.

:shoc ked:

That is just an awful, awful commute. 495 to 95 all the way around is your best and only bet. Once you get pass New Carrollton most of the traffic will probably go in the opposite direction for the rest of the ride with a possible back on the Wilson Bridge (stay on the through lanes). Initially you may have some issues starting out in Silver Spring, but traffic should be light, it is just the distance that might wear on you. Coming home, should be light as well up until you get near College Park. Wish you safe driving out there!

I would NOT move to Silver Spring with a commute to Woodbridge!! If you still want to live close to DC in a somewhat urban area I would choose Alexandria, Springfield or Arlington, VA
