I live in Annapolis and got a job in Germantown. What is the best way to get there? Does anyone have experience with the new ICC MD200. I'm wondering if that would be better than going down to 495, or possibly going through 32 instead. I don't mind paying the tolls, I'm really just trying to figure out the quickest way to get around. I love Annapolis and don't want to move, but I can't pass up this job offer.

Please help me get to work.

OMG that looks awful.

I hope you are working graveyard shift.

I think you will like Annapolis a lot less one month into this commute. ICC might be useful if you can figure out a good way to get to it.

Do you think the icc is the best option .... Can't I get on the icc in laurel? Would it be difficult to get to laurel in the morning?

How is the traffic on the icc? Does anyone know

There's very little traffic on the ICC. It's a good option. It will take 20 minutes from 95 (just north of Beltsville) over to 270. The worst traffic will be 50 and 495, if you go that way.

How about 97N - to 32 W - to 198 W - to 95 S - to ICC?

What TIME are you go to work - or have to be AT work -- and coming home? That's KEY.

Also ICC is EZ Pass only.
-----------

You can't pick up the ICC until you get to 95. But up that north there's no easy way to get to it from 295 over, so you have to swing a hair north of technically where you need to go -- to take 198 to 95 and come south one exit to the ICC.

50 to the belt way and around to 270 ...just thinking about it make me groan.

Wow this is so helpful, thank you. I was thinking it would be easier to take 32 to I-95 then ICC... Can I do 32 to 95 or do I have to take 198?

I have to be at work at 8 AM. So I was think if I leave around 6:30 I should have time. I like that the ICC is easy pass only so (I'm hoping) there won't be as many drivers on there when I'm trying to get to work. I don't get out until 5 but at least i don't have to be home at a certain time.

32 to 95 takes you too far out of the way north to come back down to the ICC.

198 W cuts through at a more south horizontal to get to 95 just one exit about the ICC. Look at MapQuest you'llsee what I mean.

If you have to be AT work at 8 you should be fine going that little bit through Laurel.

198 is shorter, but has tons of stop lights.

But I think even with the lights at that time of morning traffic would move along quickly enough. (It's certainly not worth staying on 32 going further out of the way north to get to 95 only to have to come back down past 198 to get to the ICC)

You're probably right, but I just wanted to mention the lights so they would know in advance that they are there.
