If this is true she/he doesn't stand a chance. Running against an incumbent who has a strong hold on the seat? There is dumb and there is dumb. Is there some reason Cardin shouldn't win????

About the only way I could see Manning winning the nomination would be for the Republicans to switch registration to put her on the ticket, so they could ensure the Republican nominee would win in November. I don't think you would ever get enough Republicans willing to try that, though. If you could vote in the primary of your choice, registered as an independent, that might be a possibility. Republicans have standards too high to identify with the opposition.

IMO this guarantees Cardin a win. I know Obama pardoned her. But, with the history of violations of the Espinonage Act does she seriously think this is appropriate?

Oh hell no. If she somehow wins I'm moving to Virginia. At least that's easier than moving to Canada

It won't win. Everyone calm down.

All the endless PC shenenigans are now in a stage where they're being mocked, but the SJW's and the Virtue-Signalers don't yet know that they are the butt of the joke.

Black Marylanders (29% of the population) are going to vote for a democrat 96% of the time....because they've been trained to believe that that's the party that benefits them. White Marylanders (60% of the population) would need to vote in the range of 75% (for 45% of the overall vote count, assuming everyone votes in equal numbers) for a responsible candidate to win in a general election with the remainder of the votes being picked up by conservative Hispanics and overtaxed Asians. Hey...it could happen I suppose.

Besides, what actual policies could Manning possibly bring to the table?

This could be Roy Moore 2.0 if the fringe element of the Democratic Party prevails.

If she/he had done what she/he did during WW2, or anytime up until 1960, he/she would have been executed. Still, anyone is better than Cardin.

Actually, I believe Obama commuted her sentence to time served. He didn't pardon her.

Still, she won't win, and it seems this may just be a publicity stunt to keep her in the news, but I can't fault people for deciding to run for office. I prefer that to people who sit back and don't vote or participate in any way.
