Hello! I just moved to Annapolis from Massachusetts. I am a 22 year old single guy and moved here a few weeks ago for a job. Since I am new here, I am trying to note all the good places that I could go to meet people, particularly single women (20-25 years old). I know very little about the area, but I am interested in hearing what people have to say. I figure nightclubs/bars may be my best bet, but I am not a huge drinker and I dont want to go to ones that are not safe. However, I certainly am interested in hearing about the best clubs/bars if there are some good ones in the area. If anyone has any recomendations about places/bars/nighclubs in the Annapolis or general Maryland area, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Downtown Annapolis is where a lot of people go out. Once the weather breaks just hope around down there.

The City Dock area and Upper West Street are where people go. Rams Head has great bands, McGarvey's is a fun place as well. People your age also head to Georgetown {DC} and they also drive to Canton{Baltimore}. In the summer many travel to Dewey Beach or Ocean City.

I would suggest joining a sports club or meeting people at work. Hanging out at bars trying to meet people doesn't sound like much fun, meet people then go hang out on occasion. Do you play sports ? Annapolis Striders has weekly runs and the Annapolis 10 miler is a huge event in Annapolis. Lacrosse is a huge sport in Maryland and has a huge social scene wrapped around it. Sailing will provide many social outlets, Eastport yacht club would welcome you, Severn River Rugby club is a option. Annapolis is a fun town so have fun and good luck.

City Dock in Downtown Annapolis on any Friday and Saturday night. Just walk around after 9pm and you'll find all the happening places.
