No clue about Boston and bugs, but I am sure is less of a problem since its weather can be very VERY cold. Most bugs thrive in warmer climates (CA!). I would imagine staying in the metropolitan area you should be fine. I am in the city and I barely see bugs.. oh and we got black widows too!

Anyway, I am sure you are safe as long as you keep your house clean.
I am considering moving from Boston to San Diego but i am TERRIFIED of snakes AND spiders. how often do you see them? If i live in an apartment, do you think it will be a problem?

Also, there is no bug problem in boston! ive never seen a single spider in 4 years.

Get some organic misquito-repellent soap, cut it into little chunks, and scatter it about where you have a problem with spiders, ants, etc. coming in. I did this and never had a problem again.

Hope this helps!

I love C-D! You get everything from pooping on the T platform to the quality of schools in upscale towns to bugs and soap repellent to helping and not helping neighbors shovel massive snow drifts to all the different ways to say "hello" in Beantown....Wow!
