We are looking to buy a house in west newton near the Horace Mann Elementary school.
Our son would go to that elementary school in 2 years. I have read great things about other Newton elementary things like mason-rice , ward, bowen etc. But I havent heard anything about Horace Mann. Does it compare to these other elementary schools?
Any information about this neighborhood and elementary school would really help us decide.
Also in general how is west newton as compared to rest of the villages in Newton?

Thanks for your help in advance.

GreatSchools.org is a great resource for that type of information. It has parent reviews along with statistics that can help you to make an informed decision.

I found this pretty interesting you can dig through for what you'd like.

I think all of the Newton schools are overcrowded, Horace Mann and Burr added modulars in 2011.

Newton Facilities long range plan 2011.

I do not pretend to know how/if this affects the learning.
