Hi all, I'm considering a move to the Wilmington, MA area. My soon to be 2nd grader is currently in a Spanish immersion school where we are now. Are there any good spanish immersion elementary schools in the Wilmington surrounding area? What tools does ma have to compare school ratings? Does curriculum in elementary schools include Spanish in MA now? What are the best cities in the surrounding Wilmington area- schools, community centers, family friendly, green spaces, safety?

Massachusetts public schools, in general, are among the best in the country, but they do not offer much in the way of foreign language immersion programs.

Wilmington is a nice community and depending on your budget it may be a perfectly reasonable choice. Other desirable, although more expensive, nearby communities include Reading, Andover and Burlington; or with even deeper pockets, Concord, Lexington and Winchester, are all within reasonable commuting distance.
