My wife & I will be visiting the Cape 9/1-9/8 and I would appreciate some recommendations for beaches to visit for excellent sunsets. Looking at the map maybe Crooks Brook, Kingsbury and First Encounter? Any other little know ones? Thanks for your feedback.

Can't argue with Duck Harbor; think it's the best. Don't tell anyone, though....

Marconi isn't bad either, although I never been to Duck Harbor.

Marconi is on the wrong side! You can see a sunRISE there, not a sunset.

I would say the best vantage point for both sunrise and sunsets is in Brewster.

There is always a crowd at Rock Harbor in Orleans and sometimes there is even a band playing plus you can check out the historic CG36500 that is docked there.

Pretty much anywhere along the bay is a great spot to see the sunset from Mayflower beach in Dennis all the way "up the arm" to Provincetown. The only issue being that some access to the beaches is limited by the number of parking spaces.

Truly, the colors of the sunset are vibrant and deep at sunset either on the east or west sides of the Cape beaches. The big and obvious difference, you won't see a the sun setting in the horizon while facing east.
