It is true that various substances can induce psychosis. In most cases, the psychosis improves when the drug is discontinued.
BTW, Dr. Phil is an entertainer, not a legitimate clinician. He lost his license to practice psychology nearly 30 years ago, due to inappropriate dual relationship with a 19 year old girl. He therefore cannot legally given any advice or treatment about mental health. Take anything he says with a very tiny grain of salt.
