From reading all these slang words it looks as though to me it depends on what part of Mexico your from. That word "chicho" could just be in that region.

there are differences between slang of the northwest of Mexico and the rest of the country.

I'm from Sonora Mexico, and we say:

Chido = Cool(we don't say "chido", we say "curado" or "shilo")
soda=we say soda too(in other zones they say "refresco or chesco")
bike=bicicleta= we say "baica".
girl/boy=chica/o= we say "morra/o".
ugly= feo= we say "pirata"
friend= amigo= we say "camarada"
Crazy= loco= we say "guason"
Guy=chavo/a= we say "chavalo/a"
head=cabeza= "chompa"
hot dog= perro caliente= "dogo"

is only a little that we used in the northwest, you can see that it is very different from the Mexican of other zones.

Wouldnt northwest be considered baja california?
Of your list, Ive only heard morra, chavala, and I've heard "soda" used instead of refresco. Oh yeah, and chilo.

Slang would likely vary quite a bit by region and also socio-economic level.

There's this song -- kind of catchy and clever as far as the use of slang.

YouTube - El Narco Cholo

Very true about the socio-economic level. Where I lived there were a lot of Jovenes bago ( cholos ) and it seemed to me they had there own language.Most of them did not even make it through the 2nd grade so that is probably why they have a ton of their own made up vocabulary.

the funny thing here is that in spanish all the words rhyme
hehehe...I had forgotten how fun it is to chat with our chilangos. Not only the rhymes but it seemed that everything had dual meaning. You had to be fast enough to catch it or you would be lost in the conversation.

I'm sure this one is still in use by our chilangos....chale manito!

I had never heard of chilo. As far as I'm concerned Chilo is short for Isidro.

Also some of the slang vary due to the accent of a particular state. If you go to Sonora, you will find a lot of people pronounce ch as sh. So you hear them say,"Ay shiquillo!" Oh and everything ends with illo or illa like most northern states. Chiquillo, platillo, puertilla, maquinilla, etc.

Escuincle- if you ever watched El chavo del Ocho, you would have heard this one from Dona Florinda. This was one of my mom's words too as well as, "hija de tu madre". Of course, she was the only one allowed to use it toward us...hahahaha.

I don't think so...at least in sonora that is not common.
Maybe you talk about the northeast (Nuevo Leon, coahuila, tamaulipas), there are differences also between slang of the people of the northeast and the northwest.
