Keep in mind that the Aztecs were a relatively small group of people, no question privileged during the Aztec Empire. Most people in that empire were not Aztec, they were of different tribes in association with the Aztecs.
There were other empires in Mexico contemporaneous with the Aztecs, which is something the general public never hears about, too. There were the Tarascans, aka the Purepecha, who warred against the Aztecs. And the Tlaxcalans, who allied with the Spanish to fight the Aztecs, their traditional enemy. And others. The complexity of the alliances and rivalries between the different tribes and the civilization they'd created tends to get over-simplified to focus mainly on the Aztecs.
There certainly are Aztec-related tribes in Mexico. The direct descendants of the Aztecs are the Nahua. And many of the people still speak their language. The Apaches are unrelated.
The Nahuas of today are not direct descendants of the Aztecs. The Aztecs were one Nahua group out of many. The variety of Nahua spoken by the Aztecs is not spoken anywhere anymore. Modern Mexicans with Aztec ancestry are Mestizos from the Mexico city area.

I've had the same thoughts as you for a long time since I came to C-D, but I didn't know how to put it in words it's the same with Africans, they're all black and poor, who cares what tribe or language they speak?
Believe it or not, there are people like what appear to be the OP and even worse. Don't underestimate the level of stupidity that can affect humans. There is no shortage of that!
Mexico was home to a huge Native American empire so it makes sense they have more NA DNA then say, Argentina, which is primarily Italian.
