However OXXO is pronounced is not important in my book since Americans are allowed to make mistakes.

Tacos de Carbon (as I call it) from MC and the Tortas (two different kinds).... the ones you eat and the two legged kind to look at. Nothing like a late night run to the all night Taco/Torta place......with all the cars out front due to the places reputation.

Actually many people use the term Japones in Mexico and its very common. There is even a very popular snack Kiyakis (el cacahuate MUY Japones) or simply cacuhuate de japones

again the phonetic pronunciation is "oaks so"

Yes thats one way to pronounce it and I used the word "oaks" and the phonetic (how it sounds) pronunciation as its a little drawn out more than the shorter "oc" but I think other at least better understand it now.
