Fades are out but in Miami sometimes we refuse to let go.

What's the story of this person? I saw his photo on another site but I cannot recall his name.

White people with fades......lol. Especially tapes. That **** looks disgusting when it starts to grow back. I've seen some pretty terrible ones.

And who remembers gel and spiky hair in the early 2000's? Some kids used so much that all that gel when it dried up on their skin made it look like they were peeling.

Anyways, I'd rather have the black people of Miami have gold teeth and dreadlocks as hoodrat as it may be compared to having them be generic like the rest of the country

I have dreads, and time changes so does the style. I got them because i wanted them, and just the other day i started to pay attention to other people, and I realized just how many people have dreads now in days. Mine are well kept though, and the rasta look is the un-kept ones. Nobody just gets regular cuts anymore either.

Lol yeah I do!!! I remember the spiky hair and "platinum" chains and bracelets hahaha.

The tight dreads (i think that's how they were called) came after that trend, and along with it some kids would wear a white towel around their neck as part of their dress code.

I'm so glad i never got into those fashions

Philly also has some of the best Chinese barbers, lol.

Dude, I'm new to Philly. I didn't know Chinese people could cut black hair before I moved here! Chinese folks are amazing in Philly. they make soul food too!! i thought it was going to be hard to find a good spot that serves grits and eggs when I moved here, but there's this spot ran by Chinese folks that I go to, and they make this bomb southern breakfast; and they make fried chicken gizzards!

How do Chinese people know so much about black people? It makes you frustrated with white people, cause black people and white people been in this country together since the 1600s (ok, if you're people got here after the civil war, you're exempt); Mr. Chang just got here yesterday! He fresh off the boat giving brothers fades. I've NEVER gone into a white spot, and was able to get a nice fade. If China ever invades the US I'm jumping on the Chinese side, lol.

My barber shop is filled with white and Latin barbers, and they will get you right. I don't know where you been goin.

Fades and blowouts are the haircuts down here so maybe that's why everybody can do them.

I mean an exclusively white barber shop. I've had my hair cut by a white man before, but he was in a predominantly black barbershop; he was the only white barber there.

I've never gone into a white barbershop, nor do they advertise it. Chinese folks open up shops in black neighborhoods and advertise they do black hair. I've never seen a barbershop operated by white people, advertising they do black hair.

I don't know; maybe they think black people won't patronize because of the war going on between black and white in this country. Or maybe they won't cut hair for cheap like Chinese...
