Statistics don't support your view. The median household income is much higher in Philadelphia than in Miami metro(60k vs 46.6k) and rents are cheaper in Philadelphia.

By definition we would be a third world country, a place where people don't earn much but pay high rents.
See page 7 for household incomes by metro:

Here are the rent prices:

And to think that Carol City was once a suburb with a laid back lifestyle. My how times have changed. Nothing seems to get better around Miami does it?

Tallrick, I don't know about that. Sure the crime was lower and there weren't murders every week but Carol City/Miami Gardens has never been anything to brag about. Why do you think they changed the name to Miami gardens when they incorporated. Carol City had a bad rap. Same thing with Cutler Ridge when it incorporated to Cutler Bay.

I watched 1 and 2. I went tonight to watch part 3. Lots of knowledge of black history, that is kept out of the school system on PURPOSE! I loved the solutions funny but true. Asians write a check, Jews write a check, Hispanics write a check. The spending within your community is a 100% true also. The overall education of the real black history is very important I believe.

Lol sorry but He is not wrong at all.Philly is a disaster zone.Sadly as he said with such rich culture, wait I mean history.Evacuation route:any highway or airport..QUICK (sirens blowing). Not sure why there's always this sense of excessive pride coming from Philly.I would be more humble.Seriously the struggle is real. Although is gentrifying slowly you might want to hold up your pride and wait and realize you was always right for believing in your city! But wait;where are the current people from Philly going to have to end up at? Oh Carol City!!

Oh boy I can almost say the whole City!!! North Philly,Germantown,Kensington,West Philly,Frankford but most everywhere and even downtown, center city area !! I seen improvements in the downtown area with the new Museums which gives the city a lot of character and University City area but the people who moved in are from New York or the suburbs! Not sure how much of improvement you see in that! Not even the old residents.High amount of abandoned buildings and vacant lots deteriorated infrastructure and just a general sense of despair! Although I do see the changes coming like I said It will keep pushing old residents out..And Im not sure if that would even ever happen in some areas. But they trying!

Philly has a good amount of Caribbean people as well. Idk what it is with Caribbean people in Florida but the ones in the northeast do pretty well and a lot own homes and are in middle class status.
