Is the job market better in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Boca Raton?

Particularly for a young professional who does not speak spa ish.

I've heard northern wages differ from $1-3 dollars as much, but it's basically the same. Besides the rudeness Miami claim to fame for skewing benefits, bonuses, medical plan in jobs etc.

Depends on industry, not the city per-se.

Medical probably better in Miami because you have more options. Broward better for education & govt work usually.

Miami has more jobs in finance, global business and hospitality than Boca or Ft Lauderdale. Boca, and the rest of PBC, seem to have more and higher paying white collar jobs.

Fort Lauderdale and Miami will see little difference in wages for most professions. However, the cost of living in Ft. Lauderdale is a little lower. I think the differences in wages begin in Palm Beach.

If you're concerned about securing a job without speaking Spanish, I think Boca would be the better of the three options for you. However, keep in mind that housing in Boca will be more expensive than FLL or MIA for the most part.

I don't know, I've lived in both Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, and I don't see a huge difference in COL. Only difference I'm seeing are taxes being lower in Broward.

I agree..The 'Cheaper in Broward' thing seemed to have sailed in 2015. Beach locations are just as pricey, Las Olas prices are expensive. The suburbs get more for the money than Miami's burbs because places like Coral Gables and Doral are very pricey now, as is Pinecrest. All things being equal, you could say Coral Springs/Plantation are better choices in terms of cost of living, value for the $, etc. than Kendall/Homestead.

But 'actual' Fort Lauderdale is no longer cheap or much less expensive than Miami anymore. In fact, you can get some pretty good deals for nice, new condos in Brickell/Downtown because of all the over building.
