I'm no fan of Kendall, but to say that it's "very dangerous" is completely false.

I have lived in Miami since 1969 and have lived in West Kendall since 1990. West Kendall is extremely safe, especially the neighborhoods of Calusa, Winston Park, Kendale Lakes, The Crossings, Hammocks and Lakes of the Meadows. The traffic is another matter....
Horizon's West has changed dramatically for the better the last 10 years. The complex was protected by a very low cement wall that was easily climbed over, now they have a more appealing and safer rod iron fence. Before, cars were parked along the curb on 133 Ave. and even saw guys doing mechanic work on their cars. No more! It is prohibited to park along the 133 Ave curb now, much less do mechanic work there. Now, I hear kids laughing, playing and having a great time in the pool. There are a lot of renters there so you do have a large turn over of people every couple of years.

Back in the 1990's Horizons west was full of gang members. Now in the 2010's its calm, about 6 cops live inside the area, and they have about 4 security guards on duty, plus camras in every building..
