I really wish they would bring back the plain solid blue plates.
Didn't they say "Winter, Water, Wonderland"?

That first one will look very New york/New jersey at a first glance

But they are both better than Georgia's new license plates

Yes, I agree...however, I think the bottom plate is simple, with a classic and elegant look.

Wow! Looks like Georgia is subscribing to the same "busier is better" idea that Ohio did. Nothing wrong with making it pretty like the current Mackinac Bridge plates, but it can be overdone too!

I also think its a bit much, dont really like them. Too much yellow in the sky above the bridge that is my main complaint. Too bright, too loud for my taste. Featuring the bridge however is something I like, the Mackinaw bridge really is a recognizeable symbol of our state.

Top- kinda loud
Bottom- too bland, would've looked cooler with a snowflake and/or a lighthouse on it IMO

"Pure Michigan" that's fine as an advertising slogan, but it's not the name of the state. License plates should have the name of the state on it, not an ad slogan. I also REALLY hate the "welcome to Pure Michigan" signs that they put along the highways at the borders. Why can't it just say "Welcome to Michigan"? Taking it too far IMO.
I agree with this.

It's good for TV but do we really have to live inside an advertisement? I'm starting to even wonder what's so 'pure' about Michigan anyway.

I've lived in Michigan all my life and never saw the sky that color. The most predominant color (other than blue) is pink reflecting off a high cloud layer. That is pretty common and quite beautiful. Honestly if I ever saw the sky bright yellow, I would probably panic and head for a fallout shelter.

Yeah, it does kind of put one in mind of a large nuclear accident, doesn't it?

I have seen that new bridge plate on a few cars recently and it is by far the ugliest Michigan plate ever and most difficult plate to read from a short distance. Wasn't the white-letters-on-blue plate retired because it was too difficult to read by law enforcement? How about hiring a designer instead of letting a government employee doodle around with MS Paint?

SOS - State's new Mackinac Bridge license plate on sale now

I'll be keeping my Spectacular Peninsulas plates forever. Best graphic MI plate so far.
