Finally making the move to the U.P. Grand Marais/Seney area. Cannot wait to get back to the basics of life and nature!! Any C-D people in that area?

Not in that area, but an LP resident who can totally identify with your statement about the basics in life and nature. The older I get the more I appreciate nature and don't think I could survive city life at this stage. My best wishes to you in your move to the beautiful UP!

Nice! I've been to both of those towns, and they're great! Especially for getting back to the basics . Grand Marais and Seney are kinda far away, which town are you moving closer to?

Our place is on the border of Seney and Grand Marais. The address is Seney though. The kids will be in GM schools as Seney has no school. We are about 10 minutes from Lake Superior and about 20 minutes to "downtown" Seney.

I will miss my family and friends here in the Lansing area, but they can come visit!

We lasted 3 looooooooong years in the U.P. before I had to get out. For my sanity's sake and for the welfare of my children's impressionable youth.
