Here in AZ, ya jump in the pool.

Back in MI, ya got seaweed, bluegill, etc., rubbin' on ya.

It's the coolest thing....

OMG.... What WAS that thing?! Those are in AZ?! WOW!

I hate the mosquitos, but grew up in Louisiana, so know they can be worse. AZ vs MI seems like apples vs oranges. I've only been to AZ once, so have no way to compare, but MI does have nice summers. IMO they're a bit too cold for my likes, but I love the LONG days, humidity (after living in S Oregon for many years) and the beaches. Boating on a lake is the perfect way to watch a suset, or to meet up and hang out with friends. Watching the loons float by is so magical.

There's no such thing as hot days up in Northern MI. Maybe a few each summer, but that's it.

Its a tarantula hawk wasp (a pepsid wasp). Theyre gigantic and have one of the worst stings known to mankind. Luckily I havent gotten stung yet, as I dont see them often when Im down there. But Ill tell you what... when I do see them, I freeze and my heart rate accelerates rapidly.

I love Michigan summers with rivers, lakes and green everywhere, I love a good thunderstorm. I don't like those occasional hot humid weeks, I could never handle the south in summer. I lived in the southwest and IMO summer in the desert is much worse than MI winter. I really appreciate MI weather after living in other climates. We have beautiful seasons, and I enjoy the changes.

Default pure Michigan

Here in central Ohio, they are running these pure Michigan commercials.
We have been looking into taking a trip there this summer - now these commericals have me hooked. Looks like a perfect getaway. I'm from the South originally, so summers to me are hot and sticky. Looks refreshing - can't wait.
