My step-daughter is trying to find some cheap things to take back for friends after visiting us here in Michigan. But we can't find anything. We have looked in the malls and drugstores without any luck.
I think she is wanting keychains or shot glasses or magnets, something small cos she is planning on buying quite a few.
Any help would be great! Thanks.

I know I have seen sets of shot glasses or beer steins at meijer's. She could break apart the sets and geive them individiually. If memory serves me correctly, they were commemorative glasses for the various sports teams rather then scenes of Michigan. You might try some dollar stores. Wish I could be of more help, but I am stumped.

Where are you? My small town drug store is filled with Michigan magnets, key chains, shot glasses, mugs, shirts...etc. I think you might need to go/be in a more touristy area to find things like that.

Depending where you are, the farther north, the better. Or maybe do some driving along either east or west lakeshore until you run into some smaller towns.

What michmoldman said is very true. Its hard to go into a gift shop up here and not see all kinds of things you get for your purpose. Petoskey stones are very popular and cheap too. Or you can just go find your own if you know where to look.

Go to one of the "Pure Detroit" stores downtown (Fisher building, Guardian Building or the Ren Cen; or at the airport). Lots of uniquely Detroit/Michigan items there.

Unless you're into the MSU store inside of WallyWorld.

Seeing this, I ought to make some marbles with little sparkly images of michigan inside.

I guess, though, what we should be asking is where is it that you are looking Diamondgirl? City,

Thank you for all your replies. She ended up finding some magnets in Frankenmuth.
