Didn't your recruiter give you a list?

An in shape body. Just do some running. It's been years since I was in basic but they took all of our possessions bagged them up until we left basic. Ask your recruiter and check you tube for some AF basic videos.

When you get there just take it day to day and remember many others came before you and survived. Sleep good until September..

It may have changed since my day, but if your recruiter doesn't tell you:

Bring nothing you're not willing to toss away. As has heen mentioned, they're going to bag everything until you leave--and they won't get washed. You probably won't want them.

You may have to go a couple of days before you get your uniform issue and get to the BX (especially if you get there on a Friday night as I did), so just be prepared to get by with a minimum for a short time, and realize that you'll probably want to replace everything:

Toothbrush, comb, disposable razor, a couple of changes of underwear, throwaway athletic shoes

Clothes on your back--expect to throw them away.

Small bottle of body wash, small toothpaste

Training instructors like...

1.) Any type of snacks, salted nuts are a favorite.
2.) Prefer craft beer over domestic and imports.
3.) Any new novels on the NY Times list.

I'm joking there, they will take your stuff and you will never get it back. Your recruiter will give you a list..
