It might be different in some parts of the state, but there's nothing unusual about a white/black relationship in Minneapolis, and I think that anyone who does care is the odd one out, not representative of society.

I don't know the answer to that one because I don't live in MPLS. Certainly it's viewed that way in the burbs. Of couse I cannot speak for everyone but it seems there is a consensus.

I think you'll find there are just as many Protestants who are of German or other non-English heritage. Martin Luther was German, and I think the largest group of whites in the US are of German descent.

I don't think you have to worry about the inter racial thing, anybody that is looking for true love isn't looking at the color of the skin anyways. I overhear women that I work with talk about not finding dateable men but they are looking for them sitting on a bar stool. If and when you get here don't be afraid to look at parks and other public places, some of us do not like the bar\club scene.

Well, that wasn't really my point. Protestant was in parentheses because the Anglo-Protestant power elite in this country were the ones traditionally keeping everybody else down. It's one of those triangle-square things, where if you were *both* of English descent, and Protestant, you were in the clear....but if you were one or the other or neither, you were in trouble. The poor, rural English and Scotch-Irish had an equally tough time to the Germans (both Catholic or Protestant), or the Irish, Italians, etc., when they first came to the US.
