Default Buying A Condo In Downtown Minneapolis

Hi!
We are moving from NYC and we stayed in Minneapolis for a weekend. We looked at the warehousedistrict, uptown, drove by Loring Park, Linden hills, North loop,... I loved the energy in the downtown area. We would love to buy there but I didn't see many condos in that area except "THE NICOLLET" which is not going to be ready for another 5 years or so. We did see a lot of rentals though - Symphony, Marquette, La Salle, etc...I was wondering whether there are condos in that area for sale?

Also how is the school system in the downtown area?My son is only 18 mnths old so I have a while to go but the EFCE sounds good so I was wondering if that would be available as well?

Loring Green just google it. Its between loring park and downtown the high rise with dark brick very nice. Most of the condo are being and built on the otherside of the river in Northeast. Also on the river on the downtown side there are wonderful townhomes and condos just a little up from the warehouse district.

Schools well we left before they were school age. There is one corner of like hennepin and 9th??? its been 2 years. It was created to get suburban kids into the city. Also there are montessori's and a waldorf on nicollet

I too have been looking at condos in Minneapolis, and I found this site:

More Buildings/Developments - Minneapolis Loft and Condo Directory

IMHO it is the best site out there for showing you all (or most anyways) of the condo buildings in Minneapolis, as well as the units actually for sale. I've also been in email contact with them before, and they have been incredibly nice and helpful, especially since I told them right away that I wasn't planning on buying for another 18-24 months.

Hope it helps!
