Hello to all,
I was just wondering what Minneapolis Lake St and downtown Minneapolis looks like now, after the George Floyd death in 2020. Has those streets started to clean up and improve? I haven't been to Minneapolis since the George Floyd incident happened and those parts of town seemed to be really cool but that may have changed.

Lake Street has changed. The rubble is largely cleaned up, but now there are vast areas of vacant lots. It will take a generation to recover from the riots.

Things have definitely cleaned up. The area where the 3rd precinct has burned (Longfellow) still is a bit rough looking but there are many new apartments going up. The Target and Cub are all cleaned up now and there is little to no evidence of rioting in most areas except for the the precinct and some older buildings that could use some business.

Uptown, on the other hand, keeps having businesses shut down as well as new ones opening too. However, every area burned in that side of Lake Street has been rebuilt or replaced.
