Hey everyone,

My Mom is coming to visit me over Thanksgiving weekend and we are going out to eat on Thanksgiving day. Around 12:30 or 1:00pm in the afternoon.

Any recommendations? Can't be too expensive and I would prefer closer to St Paul.

We are open to traditional or any ethnic food. My Mom usually prefers nontraditional actually.

Any help on this? Which places do you recommend that will be open on that day?

If there is an opening, you might consider the St. Paul Grill downtown:

I'm not sure how much help you'll get here, Packwanderer. You my have better luck at Chowhound. I see there is currently a Thanksgiving thread.

We will be at "Fabulous Ferns" in downtown St. Paul--never been there, but heard it's good. Their number is 651- 225-9414. Hope your day turns out good!

Thanks everyone. I'm going to an Indian buffet restaurant in downtown Minneapolis - we prefer ethnic food for Thanksgiving anyway - it looks pretty good.

Happy Turkey Day!
