Default Metro Areas like Minneapolis-St Paul

Hi all:

First of all, I must say that I am very happy to live in Minnesota and I do not have any plans of moving anywhere else, but sometimes I wonder, are there any other metro areas similar to Minneapolis-St Paul? I have travelled extensively all over the USA, lived in a few different places, but I do not seem to find a place quite like it. I heard Seattle is similar to Minnesota in some ways, but it seems so overpriced! What other metro areas resemble Minnesota? I thought of Madison, but even Madison is not quite as nice as Minneapolis-St Paul..any ideas?!

Well, I've been to quite a few metro areas. The two that stand out in my mind as being "like" the Twin Cities are Denver and Seattle.

As for why.... I really don't know It just seemed to me that Denver and Seattle were alot like TC.

I didn't find Seattle much like the Twin Cities. For one thing, people there were a lot lazier, and just dull. I think Milwaukee and Chicago are the closest thing to the Twin Cities (although if you consider small cities then Des Moines is not too far from what St. Paul used to be like).
