This! We don't get out on "dates" much these days, but MplsTodd hits two of my favorite itineraries. Dinner and a walk on the riverfront or over the bridge is wonderful - especially in the summer, but it's even worth it in the winter if you bundle up well. And a walk around the lake, or by the lake, is the quintessential Minneapolis experience. If you can stand the lines, you could eat at Tin Fish by Lake Calhoun.

Many of these museums have events in the evening aimed at adults. The Science Museum has a 21+ "social science" thing, and the MIA has stuff going on, too.

I recently had dinner at Redstone in Eden Prairie. It was a great date destination. I really liked the atmosphere and the outdoor seating area was cozy. I think there was 2-3 different sections around a little fire pit too which was nice. Great area for cocktails.
