Yeah one of our neighbors (in our first place) could be a little nosey but not overly so. I mean that's human beings. People in Minnesota are open and will talk to you OP. Small or big town. It's the way it is. If you want people to leave you alone maybe move west (Oregon, Washington, Colorado...).
