If so, when? Just wondering if I should put my big ol' boots away.

I wouldn't put them away just yet. Just two years ago I recall it snowing in mid-April.

Don't put them away yet. There could easily be another big snow, although it probably won't stick around on the ground for long. Also, you might want those boots for stomping through the melting snow.

I just bought myself a pair of muck boots from the saddle shop on Lake Street last week; the traction is terrible, but I've got to say I take great satisfaction from tromping through the mud and slush with totally dry feet. If you see me tromping around in Uptown tdday with my big muck boots on and pushing a kid in a stroller then please say hello!

That's a good idea, my dog and I are still drying off from our walk through the neighborhood yesterday. There are sidewalks in Powderhorn Park that have converted to miniature rivers.

Yes. It's March 8. We will typically get some sort of significant snowfall (ie, 4 inches or more) after this date.

On April 28, 1993 I remember we got about 5 inches. We will definitely see more measurable snow I'm afraid.

March is state tournament time, we always get snow during one of the tournaments.

Not always though.....3 years ago it was 70 during the first round of the Tourney and I was LOVING it! It also reached 90+ degrees over 25 times, which is hot for an average MN summer. I am crossing my fingers though for another warm/hot summer -- gives me a reason to hit the lakes more!

Yeah, the "snow during tournaments" thing is overblown. First off, it doesn't always happen, as you say. Second, between hockey and basketball and boys and girls, tournaments take up much of the month. So it's no great surprise that we usually get snow sometime during one of four tournaments that take up much of a month that sees an average of over 10" of snow!
