I wish I could say that the beauty of freshly fallen snow is worth it...but it's not. If there was a way for it to be pretty like that and still maintain a relatively warm temperature (say, cool enough to wear a light jacket or warm sweater), then I wouldn't mind winters at all.

To add to my misery, we still haven't turned our heat on yet...61 degrees is colder than I thought (that's what it seems to be stuck at inside). My husband seems to think that walking around in sweats and thick socks, watching tv wrapped up in a blanket, and then sleeping in said sweats and socks is a normal thing to do.

LOL.I live in Michigan. The winter weather here gets pretty bad.It gets really cold.But......i've lived here my entire life so im used to it.Last year we had 88 almost 90 inches of snowfall. We haven't seen that in awhile. But hopefully that's not what it's going to be like this year. All four ouf our dogs 3 pitbulls and one Australian cattle dog love the snow. They're always jumping and diving into it.I like the first snowfall but then after that it's like UGH!

Sounds almost normal to me. My rule was no furnace until Halloween. I got married, so that rule is no longer in effect.
