Funny, I went to SCSU and I LOVE St. Cloud. People can say what they want about Divsion Street, but the fact of the matter is that it is no different than any other mid sized city in the USA. The 1980s destroyed many cities with the stretch of suburbanized big boxes.
I started to hate St Cloud after my 4 years there, and i havent been back since I left in May 2008 and I really miss it.
So... Maybe go away for college, but I guarantee you'll miss it.
